Empowering Future Health Leaders: Celebrating the Graduation of Camp xSEL's Third Cohort in Liberia
After a four-week of intensive learning adventures in the Health Sciences, yesterday, August 30, 2023, we joyously climaxed the Third Cohort of Camp xSEL: Excellence in Science Education for Liberia. This celebration marks the graduation of ninety-five (95) 11th and 12th graders who were recruited from the fifteen counties of Liberia.

Throughout these transformative weeks, we've had the distinct honor of working closely with these brilliant minds, infusing them with advanced scientific knowledge, nurturing data-driven critical thinking abilities, and fostering a deep passion for inquiry-based learning. Our collective goal was to fortify their path towards to a successful career in the health sciences. As this chapter gracefully concludes, we look back with immense pride and look forward with eager anticipation to the radiant futures that these budding

xSEL scholars will undoubtedly shape the Health Sciences.

Camp xSEL is a four-week intensive math and science Camp designed for secondary students interested in pursuing careers in the health sciences. The camp stands as a shining pillar within the USAID-funded BRIDGE-U: Applying Research for a Healthy Liberia project, with support from the University of Liberia College of Health Sciences and Vanderbilt University.
This partnership has paved the way for incredible achievements.
