CTLI Certifies 24 Aspiring Health Entrepreneurs
April 1, 2024
After a 3-month period of mentorship, training, and coaching, the Health Entrepreneurship Advancement Leveraging Research (HEALR) program certified 24 aspiring health entrepreneurs. These graduates successfully completed HEARL Ideation Course Cohort 2, a program designed to equip entrepreneurs with the skills necessary to address Liberia's healthcare challenges.

Participants were presented with a diverse range of business development models to bring their ventures to life. This was facilitated through a well-structured curriculum covering topics such as Ecosystem & Innovation, Professional Communication, Community Entry, Leadership & Management, Brand & Marketing, and Coalition Building.

"The first day I attended the Ideation training, I told myself that this
would just be a waste of my time. However, after the second and third day, I was convinced by the facilitators. They pushed us every day to believe in ourselves and bring our ideas to reality." - Harris Tokpah, Ideation cohort 2 fellow, shared his experience regarding how he analyzed the course from its starting point.

On a closing note, Emily Sheldon, CEO of African Health Innovation Centre and Implementing Partner for Ideation Cohort 2, reflected on the past 10 weeks, stating, "It has been an incredible journey. We've seen quiet voices become confident, and we've seen limited ideas turn into actual entrepreneurial ventures."
