Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology

Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology is concerned with the design and formulation of drugs into different dosage forms. It is also concerned with the development of new drug delivery systems that ensure drug efficacy with minimal side effects.

Pharmaceutics is the science of converting potential drugs into effective medicines and delivering them to the body through strategies that maximize efficacy while minimizing toxicity.

Objective: This course is to prepare the student to the art of making drugs. It introduces the student to the basic industrial technology for the manufacture of drugs.
